MAC Semi Precious Review & Swatches

I went to Nordstrom last Thursday to get a few MAC Semi Precious items. So, here's a quick review with swatches of my haul.

Semi Precious Rose Quartz Mineralize Skinfinish has a "rosy pink base with inner circle of silver, lime, white-pink, and copper."

I swatched all four MSF at the store. Goldstone reminded me of Golden Lariat from Wonder Woman, which I already have. Pearl and Crystal Pink are great, but I don't really need them. But Rose Quartz is just amazing! It looks lovely as a blush and highlighter. There is a good deal of glitter though, so if you hate glitter, you may want to skip this one.

Feeling Flush Mineralize Blush is a mixture of "pink, deep blue-pink, and soft brown".

I did try Warmth of Coral at the store, but it barely showed up on me. Pressed Amber looked nice, but I passed because brown blushes tend to make my cheeks look dirty. Feeling Flush is just a gorgeous pink! It's pretty pigmented and blends in really well.

I purchased 4 of the Mineralize Eyeshadows... Blue Sheen, Dark Indulgence, Golden Gaze, and Smoked Ruby.

When I first saw photos of the MES, I really wanted them all, but as I started seeing swatches online, you could hear my wallet sigh in relief. I actually talked myself out of any MES. But when I swatched them in person, half of them weren't bad. Faux Gold and Rare Find were decent but not great. And even though, I already have She Who Dares from Venemous Villains, I still bought Blue Sheen and Dark Indulgence. Golden Gaze is my favorite here! I don't have anything like it. Such a gorgeous color! Smoked Ruby is another beautiful color. A must have for me.

And because a picture is worth more than a thousand words...

Gem of Roses is a "mid-tone strawberry pink" with a lustre finish. One of a Kind is a "mid-tone rosy neutral" with a lustre finish.

Geo Pink is a "strawberry pink". Looks Like Sin is a "mid-tone reddish plum". Both are Cremesheen Glasses.

Gem of Roses is "my lips but better". LOVE IT! I was going to skip One of a Kind and Looks Like Sin, but when I tried them on my lips, I fell in love. I really like Geo Pink too. The color is very pretty with a good deal of shimmer. Both lipsticks are a bit sheer, but they're both lovely on the lips, and they feel soft and smooth. The lip glosses feel nice and creamy on the lips, not sticky at all.

Overall, I love everything I got, but my personal favorites are Rose Quartz MSF, Feeling Flush MB, Dark Indulgence MES, Golden Gaze MES, and Gem of Roses LS.
