MAC is Beauty Pearl Blossom Beauty Powder Review & Swatches

MAC Pearl Blossom Beauty Powder:

Pearl Blossom is a light pink with a silvery pearl.

This was originally released in the Barbie Loves MAC collection back in 2007. I wasn't into MAC then, so I'm glad I got the chance to grab it this time around. I find it shows up perfectly on my tanned skin, and it doesn't look chalky on me at all. It's a fantastic highlighter that isn't overly frosty. As with most MAC Beauty Powders, this just gives you a soft, subtle glow (nothing over the top).

I tried it with Alpha Girl, and it looked divine! They compliment each other very well. I definitely recommend getting both. They last all day long on me.

MAC is Beauty Alpha Girl Beauty Powder Review & Swatches

MAC Alpha Girl Beauty Powder:

Alpha Girl is a soft peachy pink with a very subtle golden sheen.

This was first released in the Heatherette collection and repromoted in the Fashion Flower collection, but I skipped it back then, thinking it wouldn't work for my NC30-35 skin tone. I decided to try it this time around, and I'm glad I did as it actually shows up pretty nicely on me.

The texture is soft, smooth, and blends out easily. It looks subtle with one layer, but it's buildable without looking powdery or emphasizing pores. It lasted for about 8 hours on me before fading.

MAC is Beauty Fluidlines Review & Swatches

From L to R: Brassy, Looking Good, and Our Secret...

From L to R: Blue Peep, Siahi, Ivy, and Shade...

Brassy is a bright yellow gold with a metallic sheen.

Looking Good is a dark burgundy with red sparkles.

Our Secret is a pearly chocolate brown with green and golden shimmer.

Blue Peep is a bright turquoise blue with a matte finish.

Siahi is a deep blue-green with blue and green shimmer.

Ivy is a forest green with light green shimmer.

Shade is a midnight green with a matte finish.

It was good to see Ivy and Siahi get repromoted as I missed out when they were previously released in the Mickey Contractor collection. That said, my favorite here is still Blue Peep. I think it's backup worthy! If you're considering Midnight Snack, I already reviewed it here.

The Fluidlines can be hit or miss sometimes, but I think most of these applied nicely. Blue Peep, Our Secret, Siahi, and Shade had mostly opaque coverage in one pass. Brassy, Ivy, and Looking Good took some layering and applied better in short strokes. They're buildable, but make sure you wait for them to fully dry down before adding another layer. Once dry, they lasted about ten hours on me.

MAC is Beauty Lipsticks Review & Swatches

From L to R: Diva-ish, Make Me Gorgeous, Reel Sexy, and Silly (Beauty Shoppe)...

Diva-ish is a medium-dark fuchsia pink with an Amplified finish.

Make Me Gorgeous is a bright pinky coral with an Amplified finish.

Reel Sexy is a light-medium peachy-coral with an Amplified finish.

Silly (Beauty Shoppe) is a bright medium pink with a Matte finish.

I love Diva-ish and Make Me Gorgeous, but I think they are easily dupable. Reel Sexy is a great color too and somewhat unique. It was previously released in the Reel Sexy collection. At first, I thought it would be too light for my NC30-35 skin tone, but it's not. I fell in love when I first tried it, so I got another one from this collection. Silly (Beauty Shoppe) looks more wearable when I apply it lightly and blend it out. It was originally released in the Fashion Sets collection.

These lipsticks have a lightly creamy consistency that made it so the color applied smoothly and evenly. They yielded opaque color coverage and lasted about 4 to 5 hours on me. I didn't pick up any of the Lustre lipsticks. To be honest, Lustre is not my favorite finish as they can be very drying on my lips.

MAC Philip Treacy Fluidlines Review & Swatches

Blue Peep (left) and Royal Wink (right):

Blue Peep is a bright turquoise blue with a matte finish.

Royal Wink is a rich cobalt blue with a matte finish.

Royal Wink is a beautiful blue shade, but it takes some layering. You do have to wait for it to fully dry down before adding another layer or it will sheer out if you don't. Blue Peep, on the other hand, gave opaque color coverage in one pass. Once dry, they lasted about ten hours on me. These can be used as an eyeliner or as a cream eyeshadow.
