I was a little hesitant to try Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows, but I love cream eyeshadows, and the promise of long-lasting super-saturated colors lured me in. I have all 10 of the shades currently available, but this post will focus on one of my favorite shades... Bad to the Bronze.
Bad to the Bronze is a beautiful bronze with a metallic finish. It looks like a warm shade in the jar, but it's slightly on the cool side (more of a taupe) once applied. This has been my go-to color. It's great for an everyday wash of color. When I'm in a rush, I wear this all over the lid on its own.
To be honest, I didn't have high hopes for Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows, but they managed to exceed my expectations. The formula feels super creamy, but once it sets, it won't budge or smudge. I can wear this for about 8-10 hours with minimal creasing and fading. With a primer underneath (and maybe a powder eyeshadow layered over it), it lasts about 14-16 hours on me without any creasing or fading. I have not tested this for the full 24 hours because I would never need to wear an eyeshadow for that long. My favorite application method is with my fingers because it's super quick and easy, but you can also use a firm synthetic brush of your choice.
I wouldn't say the quality is better than MAC Paint Pots or MUFE Aqua Creams, but I think it's comparable. It's an excellent value because you get 0.14 oz. for only $6.99. Packaging-wise, I love it! It comes in an elegant glass jar with a black screw-on lid, which looks more expensive than some high-end cream eyeshadows. I'm looking at you MUFE Aqua Creams! (Now, don't get me wrong. I love MUFE Aqua Creams. I just think at that price point, they could use glass jars instead of plastic jars.)
Have you tried Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows yet? If so, what are your favorite colors?

I haven't tried them yet cuz they haven't come to Australia (grrr) but I'm really interested in trying bad to the bronze, too cool and tough as taupe! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope they'll release them in Australia soon!
DeleteBad to the Bronze is my favorite Color Tattoo! I also use it alone often when I'm in a hurry. It looks great on its own but I love it even more layered with powder eyeshadows. It really has become a staple in my collection.
ReplyDeleteI can see myself using this one up and repurchasing it over and over. :D
DeleteGorgeous bronzey color!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to ask what camera you use? Your photos look great. :)
