MAC Naturally Mineralize Skinfinishes Review & Swatches

When I found out Blonde and Redhead were being repromoted, I knew I couldn't just skip MAC's Naturally collection. Blonde and Redhead were originally released from MAC's Brunette, Blonde, Redhead collection in 2009. I passed on these when they first came out, but I've heard so many raves about these, so I'm very happy I got them now.

MAC Blonde Mineralize Skinfinish:

Blonde is a soft rosy pink color with silver sheen. I like this one a lot because it can be used as a blush and/or highlighter. I use the darker colors for the apples of my cheeks then the lighter colors on my cheekbones, and it gives a lovely subtle natural glow.

MAC Redhead Mineralize Skinfinish:

Redhead is a light peachy champagne with gold shimmer. It doesn't really show up on my skin as a blush, but it works well as a highlighter. It adds a gorgeous golden glow to my skin.

Mixed together, Blonde (L) and Redhead (R):

Overall, I think these are definitely worth having. The formula feels very soft and silky smooth. They are pretty sheer, so they work better as a highlighter than as a blush and will add a nice healthy glow to the skin without chunky glitter. I love pairing these with the mineralize blushes I got from the same collection (Blonde with Early Morning or Subtle Breeze and Redhead with Early Morning or Fresh Honey). I got these a little over a week ago, and I've been using them everyday since. I think these are already sold out on MACCosmetics.com, but they are still available at Macys.com and Nordstrom.com at this time.

Did you haul anything from MAC's Naturally collection?

  2. @CocoMeChanel: I love these! I hope MAC will repromote them again someday... and maybe Brunette too - I don't have that one.

  3. @Jennifae - a MAC sales associate told me that they are likely to be repromoted next year sometime as they have done so well.

    1. Naturally is a pretty great collection, but the only products I purchased were MB's and MSF's. I skipped the eyeshadows and lipsticks, but those were pretty good too if you like nude lips and neutral eyes. :)
