Do you need both Naked 1 & 2? That's really up to you. Personally, I'm glad I got both palettes because I wear neutrals nearly everyday to work. Some of the shades may seem similar, but they're different enough to me to justify owning both palettes. They're not really the same, except for Half Baked of course. Speaking of which, I love Half Baked, but I wish they included something other than what's already in Naked 1.
Overall, Naked 2 is a great palette. I really like the new metal tin packaging, and the dual-ended brush is actually pretty good. The bristles are super soft and works great. The eyeshadows have good color payoff, apply smoothly, and blend easily. Foxy can be a little sheer though. And while Chopper is a great shade, it is prone to fall out. Other than that, everything else is great. My favorite shades are Half Baked (again), Snake Bite, Suspect, Pistol, and YDK. The lipgloss is also a pretty color with a yummy vanilla-mint flavor. It's slightly sticky but not too bad... just enough to give it some lasting power.
Did you get Naked too? 1 and/or 2? Do you prefer one over the other?
Where to buy: Urban Decay, Sephora, Ulta, etc.
Disclosure: The products featured in this review have been purchased by me. All opinions are honest and completely mine.
I am sooo sad I can't get one in Canada yet:(!!! Great post!! xx
ReplyDelete@Fresh Faced Girl: I know I'd be sad too. Do you plan on getting Naked 2 or are you still thinking about it?
ReplyDeletegorgeous swatches, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI probably won't buy this since I received the original Naked as a gift from Meg's Makeup. Such lovely palettes
@KingTaco: Oh, I remember. That is THE MOST Fab Gift so far!
ReplyDeleteI bought both (I was lucky enough to get one on the first release) and agree with you, that they are different enough that I wanted to own both.
ReplyDelete@Leticia: Definitely worth getting both!
ReplyDeleteOoooo yah! I saw this one and thought I like it better that the 1st one, Jen. Thanks for all the swatches. Have you done any combos yet...share one you have done...thanks again =:0)
ReplyDeleteHi, Brenda! I think you'll enjoy Naked 2. I love Half Baked or YDK on the lid with Snakebite on the crease and Booty Call to highlight. I also like Suspect or Pistol on the lid with Busted on the crease and Verve to highlight. Plus Blackout to line. Let me know when you get yours and how you like it.
ReplyDeleteI have never owned any Urban Decay palettes but I really wanted to get the Naked palette. Then I saw there's a Naked 2.
ReplyDeleteSince you have both, which one do you recommend I should get? The first or the second? :)
@Chriselle Sy: It's totally up to you. I love them both, but I personally prefer Naked 1 because of the shades included. I do like the packaging of Naked 2 though.
ReplyDeleteIf you want darker and warmer colors, I would recommend Naked 1, but if you want lighter and cooler colors, you might want to go with Naked 2. Hope that helps! :)
One of the top things on my wishlist.. It's so pretty. :)
ReplyDelete@Yasinisi: It's a wonderful palette. :)
