MAC Ice Parade Warm Snowglobe Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

I always look forward to MAC's holiday collections. There's often a variety of kits and palettes to choose from. This review will feature the Warm Snowglobe Eyeshadow Palette from MAC's Ice Parade collection.

This palette contains six eyeshadows... Winterscape, Magical Mist, Patina, Buckwheat, Gaelic Gold, and Midnight Flurry.

From L to R: Winterscape, Patina, and Gaelic Gold...

Winterscape is a shimmery white with a lustre finish.

Patina is a taupe brown with a golden sheen. It has a frost finish.

Gaelic Gold is a yellow gold with a veluxe pearl finish.

From L to R: Magical Mist, Buckwheat, and Midnight Flurry...

Magical Mist is a gray-tinged brown with a lustre finish.

Buckwheat is a warm, medium-dark brown with a frost finish.

Midnight Flurry is a matte charcoal brown.

There are three repromoted shades (Buckwheat, Gaelic Gold, and Magical Mist), one permanent shade (Patina), and only two (Winterscape and Midnight Flurry) are new and limited edition. The only one I had was Gaelic Gold from Tartan Tale's Reelers & Rockers Eyeshadow Palette, but it is sooo gorgeous that I don't mind having another one. I believe Buckwheat and Magical Mist were from Tartan Tale's Dashing Lassies Eyeshadow Palette, which I skipped last year, so I'm glad they were repromoted, but hopefully, they will have completely different shades next year.

Overall, this is a great palette. I love the glossy white packaging with the snowglobe on top of the compact. It is a little bulky and might be harder to store because you can't stack them, but the packaging is pretty cool. The eyeshadows have good color payoff with a smooth, soft texture. My favorites are Gaelic Gold, Patina, and Buckwheat.

Did you haul anything from Ice Parade? What do you think of this year's holiday palettes?

  1. I own Patina and like that shade. Gaelic Gold looks gorgeous. I wish it was sold on its own :) Nice swatches!
