Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Urban Decay released their 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette last month, but of course it sold out quickly, so I had to patiently wait until it became available at Sephora. I received mine last week with a free 0.25 fl. oz. Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue spray pen. :)

As you can see, the packaging is beautiful. The reflective gunmetal box has a laser-cut filigree design on the sides and a faceted jewel "UD" on top, which makes it look edgy and elegant at the same time. Inside the cover is a nice full-sized mirror. I do wish it has a closure to make it more travel friendly though.

This palette includes fifteen brand new and never-before-seen shades that are exclusive to this kit. No repromotes! Yay! The shades are arranged into three columns: (1) lights/neutrals, (2) brights, and (3) darks. The tray lifts out to reveal a hidden storage compartment, but be careful... I stabbed Half Truth a few times trying to do this. Click the image to enlarge.

The lights/neutrals (from left to right): Midnight Rodeo, Midnight 15, Vanilla, Flow, and Chase. Click the image to enlarge.

Midnight Rodeo is a frosty taupe brown w/ subtle gold and silver glitter, which has a touch of fall out but very minimal.
Midnight 15 is a pale pearl beige w/ very fine silver glitter.
Vanilla is a shimmery pale white gold.
Flow is a frosty soft peach.
Chase is a metallic golden bronze

The brights (from left to right): Tainted, Junkshow, Omen, Evidence, and Deep End. Click the image to enlarge.

Tainted is a lilac pink with very fine gold shimmer.
Junkshow is a bright fuchsia pink with a purple sheen.
Omen is a metallic bright purple w/ a blue sheen.
Evidence is a deep metallic navy blue.
Deep End is a bright blue-green with a subtle sheen.

The darks (from left to right): Deeper, M.I.A., Ace, Blackout, and Half Truth. Click the image to enlarge.

Deeper is a shimmery deep golden bronze.
M.I.A. is a shimmery dark chocolate brown.
Ace is a dark gunmetal gray with a silver sheen
Blackout is a really dark matte black.
Eep! Sorry, Half Truth smudged a bit into Blackout.
Half Truth is a smokey blue-violet.

Overall, I would highly recommend this palette. This is a great addition to anyone's collection. It has a beautiful variety of new colors that are creamy, blendable, highly pigmented and long lasting with minimal fallout. I do feel like it's missing a shade (maybe a green). Yes, some colors may be dupeable, but it's still a great value for your money ($255 worth of product for $55). I love the packaging, even though it's a fingerprint magnet. Other than that, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Anyone else getting this 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette or already got it?
