Review: Everyday Minerals Blushes & Lucent Powders

As some of you know, I already have a ton of Everyday Minerals products in my collection, and I haven't bought anything from EDM since 2009. I've been eyeing their new colors lately though, and I've been fortunate enough to win one of their contests. I'm still waiting for the prizes (SoCo, Like Lady Bird Lake, and Live Austin Live) to arrive...

But I did receive a small package from Everyday Minerals a couple of weeks ago. They sent me Bollywood, Come What May, Champagne, and Wet Sand.

Bollywood is a lovely coral pink blush with a hint of sheen, which gave my cheeks a subtle glow. This is a really pretty pinkish color (not orange), which I think would look beautiful on any skin tone.

Come What May is described as, "like your natural skin, but with a fairy's kiss of shimmer". It's a very soft subtle pink blush with a shimmer finish. This is a bit too light for my medium-tan skin, but I think it would look nice and natural on fair/light skin.

Champagne is a very pale creamy pink shade with lots of sparkle. It works great as a highlighter for your cheekbones, brow bones, etc., but you have to be careful with this one because it can be extremely shimmery. Unlike the other three products I received, this one does NOT contain Lauroyl Lysine.

Wet Sand is a very light yellowish-cream shade. Like Champagne, this is a great multi-functional lucent face powder. I applied just a little bit over my foundation, and it gave me a soft-focused glow. I also tried it on the inner corners of my eyes and under my eye brows, and it gave me a refreshed, wide-awake look.

And here are some swatches. Click the image to enlarge it. :)

A full-sized jar containing about 5.5g blush or lucent face powder is $8 or much less with a 25-45% "Beauty Perks" or "Special invitations" discount. All of their products are free of bismuth oxychloride, carmine, lake dyes, etc.

So, have you tried Everyday Minerals yet? How did you like the products?

Disclaimer: These products were sent to me free of charge for review purposes. This is my honest opinion and no monetary compensation was received for my opinion.
