In this post I'll be comparing the Revlon Lip Butters and the Maybelline Color Whispers.
Consistency: The Revlon Lip Butters feel thick and heavy, while the Maybelline Color Whispers feel much lighter and more comfortable on the lips.
Moisture: They are both non-drying, but the Revlon Lip Butters seem a little more moisturizing.
Packaging: Both have packaging that's color coordinated with each shade, but I personally prefer the packaging and design of the Revlon Lip Butters because of the clear window on the top that allows you to see the actual color. Plus, the cute quilted design makes the Revlon Lip Butters look a little more luxurious.
Pigmentation: The Revlon Lip Butters have mostly opaque color payoff. The Maybelline Color Whispers have a slight sheerness, but they are quite buildable.
Price: The Maybelline Color Whispers are a little cheaper ($3.79) than the Revlon Lip Butters ($4.29).
Size: Even though the Revlon Lip Butters have a wider tube, the Maybelline Color Whispers are a little taller and contain a bit more product (0.11 oz) than the Revlon Lip Butters (0.09 oz).
Wear: The Revlon Lip Butters last about 3-4 hours on me, while the Maybelline Color Whisper lasts 5-6 hours if I'm not eating or drinking.
Overall, they are both great lip products, so I think it all comes down to personal preference. I prefer the Maybelline Color Whispers because they feel incredibly comfortable, last a little longer on my lips, and (depending on the shade) can sometimes give my lips a stained look once the shine has worn off. I do like the Revlon Lip Butters, but sometimes I feel they are a little too soft, slippery, and heavy on the lips.
Which one do you prefer?
