The Tarte of Giving Collector's Set & Travel Bag Review & Swatches

I just love all the beauty gift sets that come out around the holidays, and I always look forward to what Tarte has to offer this time of the year. They always go big with their holiday sets and give you the most bang for your buck. I really liked Tarte's Carried Away Collector's Set that I got last year, so I picked up The Tarte of Giving Collector's Set this year.

When you open the bag, you'll see a clear detachable zippered pouch containing a few deluxe-sized Tarte products for face, cheek and lashes... Pure Maracuja Oil, Maracuja C-Brighter™ Eye Treatment, Amazonian Clay Blush in Memorable, Cheek Stain in Flush, Lights, Camera, Lashes™ 4-In-1 Mascara. There is also a hook (not shown here) at the top of the bag so you can hang it on the door.

The middle section reveals a zippered mesh pocket containing a slim Amazonian Clay eyeshadow palette.

The bottom section has another zippered mesh pouch containing eight deluxe-sized Maracuja lip glosses.

Overall, I think this is an amazing set because it has a little bit of everything (eyes, lips, face, and cheeks). The cute purple quilted bag is nice, sturdy, and perfect for travel. It has enough room to carry everything you would need for traveling.

I already have a few bottles of the Maracuja Oil, but I plan to get a full-size of the Maracuja C-Brighter™ Eye Treatment when my sample runs out. The mascara will most likely end up as a stocking stuffer as I already have a few tubes of this formula. The blushes are nicely pigmented and look very flattering on the cheeks. The eyeshadows are a nice mix of colors. A few of them can be quite sheer, but they are buildable. They apply smoothly and blend well together.

I love just about everything in this set, but I think my favorites are the glosses. The shades are so pretty, very glossy, and quite moisturizing. They have fairly good pigmentation, and they have a pleasant minty scent and cooling effect on the lips. They feel a little tacky, but it doesn't bother me because they make my lips look shiny and smooth as glass, and they last a decent amount of time.
