MAC Stroke of Midnight Violet Lip Bag Review & Swatches

MAC recently released a few holiday sets with their Stroke of Midnight collection. One of the sets that caught my attention was the Violet Lip Bag which contains a full-size lipstick in Dark Deed, a full-size Cremesheen Glass in Art of Seduction, and a mini lip pencil in Vino.

MAC Vino Lip Pencil:

Vino is a darkened burgundy red.

MAC Dark Deed Lipstick:

Dark Deed is a deep red with an Amplified finish.

MAC Art of Seduction Cremesheen Glass:

Art of Seduction is a light-medium nude with golden shimmer.

I'm glad they repromoted Dark Deed. To be honest, it's the main reason I bought the bag. I regret skipping it when it first came out with the Venomous Villains collection, but I rarely wore anything dark or red back then. Vino has been on my wish list for a while now, so it's nice that they included it in this set. I will definitely get a full-size once I run out. Art of Seduction is a nice nude. It is very similar to You've Got It, but they're not exactly the same. I will post swatches in a few to compare the two and show the difference. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. The bag itself looks nice and well made. I'm sure I'll be reaching for these items a lot this fall and winter.

Where to buy: MAC counters, stores, and online.
