MAC Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish Review & Swatches

After missing out on Stereo Rose the first time (or the second time), I made sure to get my hands on this beauty this time around (Apres Chic Collection).

In the pan, Stereo Rose is a shimmery coral with golden bronze veining.

It's a gorgeous pinky coral blush with a soft sheen.

It can appear a bit metallic when layered a few times...

But when applied with a light hand and blended out, it imparts a beautiful radiant glow.

I have to say, I think this product lives up to the hype. It's a universally flattering shade that can be used as a blush or a highlighter depending on your skintone and application. It is well pigmented, and it has a soft, smooth, and finely-milled texture. It's not a glittery mess, and it doesn’t emphasize pores. I can see why it was so loved.

Were you able to get one yourself this time? Do you think it's worth the hype?

Where to buy: MAC counters, stores, and online. It's currently sold out on MACCosmetics.com, but it's still available from Nordstrom.com.

Disclosure: The product featured in this review has been purchased by me. All opinions are honest and completely mine.

  2. This is so, so beautiful! I remember the hype around this the first (at least I think it was the first) time it was released. It would make a gorgeous eyeshadow, too!
