MAC for Daphne Guinness Pigments Review & Swatches

I own quite a few MAC pigments, and I absolutely love them! This post will feature Aurora and Circa Plum from the MAC for Daphne Guinness Collection.

MAC Aurora Pigment:

Aurora is a frosty light to medium neutral brown with a bit of taupe thrown in. It's a beautiful natural shade that is great for everyday wear. This really isn't that unique in my opinion, but if you love neutrals like I do, I highly recommend this shade. (Click the image to enlarge.)

MAC Circa Plum Pigment:

Circa Plum is a muted plummy purple with a nice silver sheen. It's a very pretty color. It's neutral, so it could easily be worn to work, but it has enough color that you can wear it for a night out. I love wearing this simply as a wash of color on my lids, but it looks terrific with lots of other shades too. (Click the image to enlarge.)

Overall, I think these pigments are well worth buying. They are both really wearable shades. Both colors have good payoff and pigmentation. They apply very smoothly and blend easily. With an eyeshadow primer, they are long-wearing, and I don't experience any creasing or fading. The only thing I don't like is the packaging because they're not exactly spill-proof. They don't have screw-on lids, so I feel like the lids are not securely closed.

What do you think of these pigments? How would you wear them? Have you tried MAC pigments yet? Do you have any favorites?

Where to buy: MAC counters, stores, and online.
