MAC for Daphne Guinness Blush Ombres Review & Swatches

I received my MAC for Daphne Guinness Blush Ombres last Friday. (Yay for free overnight shipping!) These were originally released with Spring Colour Forecast, but I missed out on them the first time around, so I was very happy to see these make a reappearance.

MAC Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre:

Azalea Blossom is a beautiful gradient of light pink (left) and medium violet (right). On my skin tone, the violet shade looks more plummy pink, so it's wearable. There is some shimmer to this blush, but it's not noticeable. It just imparts a subtle glow on the cheeks. It's not very heavily pigmented, but you can build up the color.

MAC Vintage Grape Blush Ombre:

Vintage Grape is a lovely gradient of fuchsia pink (left) and reddened plum (right). I was afraid this would be too dark or too purple, but it is extremely wearable. It is intensely pigmented, so you do need a stippling brush or a light hand when applying.

Overall, these are definitely worth the hype. The texture is soft, smooth, and silky. Because they have a gradient of color, you can either use each color on its own or swirl them together. They are the size of MAC beauty powders, so they’re larger than the regular MAC blushes and will most likely last forever.
