The top flips open to show an awesome pop-up scene of Alice and a large mirror behind it.
It includes a hidden drawer with 16 eyeshadows in Alice-themed names, 2 travel-size 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils, and a travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
Here are some swatches (with UD's description) of Underland (bright iridescent purple), Alice (turquoise shimmer), Oraculum (rich bronze), Queen (plum punch), Chessur (coppery fawn w/ silver microglitter), White Rabbit (white w/ silver glitter), Wonderland (medium gold w/ silver glitter), and Curiouser (sheer lavender w/ lots of silver microglitter).
Also included are Muchness (gold w/ peach shift), Mushroom (gunmetal w/ taupe shift & iridescent glitter), Midnight Tea Party (golden beige w/ bronze, gold & silver glitter), Vorpal (bright metallic silver), Absolem (grassy green with golden shimmers), Drink Me Eat Me (champagne), Mad Hatter (brownie brown w/ gold glitter), and Jabberwocky (black with silver glitter).
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Flipside (bright teal) and Zero (zealous black). Okay, Zero is not a true black. You have to apply it a few times to get a nice true black. These are very creamy and glide on so easily.
I know a lot of people were disappointed that there were no new shades (just renamed eyeshadows from their permanent collection), but since these are my first UD colors, I have to say I'm impressed. I love all the colors (a great combination of neutral and bright colors). They are all gorgeous, well pigmented, and blend easily.
I've always wanted to try UD's Primer Potion, and now that I have, I can see what all the hype was about. My eyeshadows stay put and remain vibrant all day long without creasing or fading. Yes, the packaging is an odd shape, but I still think it's a great product, and I will repurchase when my small bottle runs out.

Great swatches! Some of those look gorgeous. I just bought a Sleek palette off eBay, bit more affordable ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't actually own many UD shadows so I keep looking at this product longingly, but it's a little too expensive for me right now!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently using UDPP but I'm starting to get annoyed with it, to be honest. It goes on streaky sometimes, and I read a blog post from Grey/Gothique about the impracticality of the packaging - you can never finish all of the product because you can't reach some of it! I'm starting to agree =P
Sorry to put a downer on things, I just wanted to share that. Book of Shadows still looks amazing.
@Jade: How do you like the Sleek palette?
ReplyDelete@Simone: The packaging is cute, but I completely agree that it's not practical.
I haven't gotten my Sleek yet! I'm hoping it'll arrive today or tomorrow... I'll definitely be reviewing/swatching when I get it ;) and I have a comparison post in mind, with an Aussie budget brand.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see some swatches, Jade. P.S. I love your pic/icon. ^^
ReplyDeleteThanks! Took forever to get a good one O.o I got my Sleek palette last night! YAY! I'm working all day today and tomorrow but I'll get on it ASAP, it's so gorgeous I want to share. I also already bought another one... heh...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Jen I can't believe you're into this as well hahaha! And you're a veteran na. Hehehe never thought you'd be the type to go kikay hehehe...
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe you got your hands on one of these! inggit...
@Julia: LOL! I've always been a little kikay... the girly-geeky type. (^_^)
ReplyDeleteThis looks great I remember wanting it since I first started seeing the girls on youtube have it before it hit stores! Very nice
ReplyDeletei'd love to have this one too. but the prices are really high on ebay :( how much did you pay for it? the eyeshadows are absolutely gorgeous:)
ReplyDelete@Renay Shanel: This is definitely one of my favorite palettes. (^_^)
ReplyDelete@Passing Fancy: I paid $72.00 + $7.95 S&H, which was twice as much as the original price, but not as bad as today's prices.
